Chernobyl; Victims, Liquidators, Residents

Scenario

Selective cytogenetic monitoring of Chernobyl disaster victims in the Ukraine has been carried out since 1987, when a cytogenetic laboratory was founded at the Research Center of Radiation Medicine in Kiev. This paper report chromosome aberration analysis in Liquidators,high-dose exposed personnel and school children living in different village in Ukraine. Blood samples were obtained in 1992-1993, and chromosome aberration analysis was carried out in conventional Giemsa-stained preparations and G-banded chromosomes.
